Job summary

CBRE seeks a People Business Partner to roll out HR initiatives, policies, and procedures across the organization. You will help design onboarding, career ladders, succession planning, and performance management while guiding employee relations and disciplinary actions.

The role involves partnering with managers on risk identification, executing HR programs, and coordinating training across topics such as performance and diversity. Weekly travel to sites and remote USA work are common.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including PeopleSoft and SmartSheet.
• Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Advanced math skills for percentage, fractions and basic financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist onboarding, career ladders, succession planning, and performance management initiatives.
• Provide employee relations guidance, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
• Work with managers to identify employment-related risks and investigations.
• Manage HR functions for a business unit including employment, labor relations, and compensation.
• Conduct training on performance management, diversity, and related topics.
• Apply standard HR principles to complex assignments and provide solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across HR disciplines.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values to build consensus.
• Impact a range of activities within teams and related groups.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information.
• Travel to sites up to 40% monthly with driving and overnight trips.
• Warehouse-fulfillment centers: up to 50% walking.
• Preference for living near a major airport due to weekly travel.
