Job summary

HBK is seeking a dynamic People Partner (HR Business Partner) to join our People & Culture team, supporting Mid-Atlantic offices and national HR initiatives. The role blends strategic insight with hands-on execution across employee relations, performance management, onboarding, and compliance.

This position requires 3–4 days per week in office presence, with regular travel to other offices in New York, New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of HR generalist experience in professional services or accounting firms.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Proficiency in Workday and Microsoft Office Suite.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High level of discretion and professionalism.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a seamless new hire experience.
• Facilitate new employee integration and retention strategies.
• Partner with leadership to identify hiring needs and campus recruiting events.
• Advise employees and managers on HR-related matters and mediate conflicts.
• Support performance management processes including goals, reviews, and PIPs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Manage investigations and employee separations with professionalism.
• Maintain accurate HR records in Workday and generate reports.
• Promote inclusion, engagement, and development programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional HR functions and provide HR data insights.
