Job summary

Cushing Terrell is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner to serve as the day-to-day HR contact for managers and staff within an assigned client group. This hybrid or in-office role partners with the Senior HR Manager on coaching, development, and complex HR matters.

The HRBP will manage performance processes, employee relations, onboarding, and multi-state compliance across geographies, with a focus on high-quality partner support and Day 1 onboarding for acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Org Development or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience
• Experience supporting employees across multiple states/geographies
• Knowledge of core HR disciplines incl. performance management, employee relations, onboarding, and multi-state compliance
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms (ADP Workforce Now) and MS 365; basic reporting

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR contact for managers and employees in the client group
• Support performance management cycle, goal setting, reviews, and calibration
• Guide managers on feedback, documentation, and development conversations
• Handle routine employee relations matters with discretion and policy consistency
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Operations on hiring and onboarding
• Support Day 1 onboarding for acquired firm employees and 100-day check-ins
• Pull ADP Workforce Now reports on headcount and turnover and summarize trends
• Ensure multi-state compliance and internal mobility by routing questions to HR partners
