Job summary

HBK is seeking a dynamic People Partner (HR Business Partner) to join our People & Culture team, supporting the Mid-Atlantic offices and contributing to national HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic insight and hands-on execution across core HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, compliance, and onboarding.

This position requires 3-4 days per week in office presence, with travel to other offices throughout New York, New Jersey, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably in professional services or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a seamless new hire experience.
• Facilitate new employee integration and retention strategies.
• Partner with leadership to identify hiring needs and coordinate Campus Recruiting events as needed.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR-related matters.
• Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and promote a positive work environment.
• Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and improvement plans.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Manage investigations and employee separations with discretion and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate records in HRIS (Workday experience preferred) and generate reports.
• Support inclusion and employee engagement initiatives and collaborate on training needs.
• Provide insights from HR data to inform business decisions and support organizational change.
