Pex is seeking a People Partner to support managers and employees in Hoboken, NJ. This 100% onsite role focuses on employee relations and Tier 2 care within our service model.

As a trusted HR partner, you will guide managers through performance, disciplinary actions, and complex policy questions while ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies. The position requires collaboration across HR teams and a proactive, impartial approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 4+ years HR experience (e.g., HR Advisor, HR Generalist, HRBP).
• Excellent negotiation skills with Employee/Industrial Relations preferred.
• Genuine passion for People Needs/Partnership and problem solving that drive performance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Employee Excellence: lead employee relations with line managers, ensure compliance with employment laws and HR policies, draft outcome letters, and support cases through to completion.
• Identify ER trends and coach line managers to address root causes, build leadership capability, and stay up to date with regulatory changes.
• Enable Tier 2 Care in our Service Delivery Model by managing complex HR cases and advising on policy and regulatory escalations, including absence, family leave, and restructuring activities.
