Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a HR Operations Project Lead in Hoboken, NJ, 100% onsite. The role supports service delivery teams with strong employee relations expertise and a proactive, precise approach to complex HR cases.

You will partner with line managers to minimize risk, lead end-to-end employee relations activities, and guide policy interpretation to ensure compliant HR practices. This is a 6-month engagement with potential extension or conversion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 4 years in HR (e.g., HR Advisor, HR Generalist, HRBP).
• Excellent negotiation skills with Employee/Industrial Relations preferred.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; ability to work independently in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key People Partner supporting line managers and employees during critical moments.
• Lead end-to-end employee relations activities including performance improvement, disciplinary actions, grievance handling, and consultations.
• Advise on and resolve Tier 2 policy, regulatory, or legal escalations requiring market intervention or decisions.
• Provide hands-on support for complex cases, including writing scripts, investigation reports, and outcome letters.
• Coach line managers to identify trends and address root causes while staying current with employment legislation.
