Job summary

Big Happy in Chicago is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to support recruitment and HR programs. This hands-on role collaborates with the People team to ensure a smooth candidate experience, accurate onboarding, and compliant personnel records.

You’ll manage day-to-day tasks, coordinate interviews, prepare welcome kits, and help maintain our ATS and onboarding checklists. A detail‑oriented, organized candidate will thrive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• 1–2 years of HR, recruiting, or People Operations experience.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support recruiting and HR tasks, keeping processes on track.
• Coordinate interviews, onboarding, and offboarding logistics.
• Maintaining ATS hygiene, updating records and scorecards.
• Assist with onboarding kits and first-week logistics.
