Bento Nouveau Inc in Chicago is hiring a Bilingual People Operations Generalist to support full-cycle People Operations for employees and managers in Chicago. This role partners with the People Operations Manager to ensure smooth HR processes and compliance.

Responsibilities include managing recruitment, onboarding, I-9 compliance, benefits, performance cycle support, HR systems upkeep, policy enforcement, and safety programs.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of HR, admin, recruiting, or employee support experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal labor laws preferred.
• Spanish proficiency required (speaking and writing).
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

Bento Nouveau Inc is hiring a Bilingual People Operations Generalist to support full-cycle People Operations for employees and managers in Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruitment: job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and hiring logistics
• Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation; manage I-9 compliance and oversee offboarding, including exit interviews and separation processing
• Handle employee concern intake and resolution; conduct internal investigations and partner with the People Operations Manager on guidance for conflict resolution and next steps
• Ensure employment law compliance across federal, state (including Chicago), and local requirements
• Assist with employee benefits: enrollments, changes, and timely responses to employee inquiries
• Support performance review cycles by helping managers with documentation and performance improvement plan administration
• Coordinate and track required compliance and professional development training to ensure completion and effectiveness
• Partner with staffing agencies to maintain alignment on company policies, onboarding standards, and training compliance
• Collaborate with corporate teams to maintain HR systems, ensure data accuracy, and produce reports for business needs
• Communicate, interpret, and consistently enforce company policies and procedures across the organization
• Administer employee leave programs and support compliance with applicable laws (including FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leave requirements)
• Support workplace safety initiatives, partner with operations on safety programs, and assist with workers’ compensation case management and tracking
• May travel as needed to support People Operations initiatives at other locations, including out-of-state sites

Requirements

• 2-5 years of Human Resources, administrative, recruiting, or employee support experience
• Knowledge of state and federal labor laws strongly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality
• Spanish proficiency required (ability to speak and write)
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

Compensation

• USD 65,000 - 70,000 per year

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Work mode: Onsite
