Job summary

Whatnot, a leading live shopping platform, is seeking a People Operations Partner to scale employee experience and HR operations. You will strengthen systems, compliance, reporting, and core HR activities across the employee lifecycle.

You’ll drive end-to-end projects, ensure audit readiness, and partner with Finance, Legal, and Recruiting to maintain accurate records and scalable processes. A remote, globally distributed team supports this critical role.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in People Ops or HR operations, ideally in a fast-growing environment.
• Workday power user, comfortable handling transactions, building reports, and identifying data issues.
• Experience with compliance, audits, payroll, or time & attendance systems.
• Think in systems and enjoy improving processes.
• Autonomy to drive projects end-to-end in ambiguous environments.
• Organized, proactive, detail-oriented, with multiple priorities.
• Clear and thoughtful cross-team communication.
• Take ownership and follow through.
• Familiar with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Zendesk, Culture Amp, Navan, and Notion.

Responsibilities

• Lead core People Ops operations across the employee lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Drive compliance and audit readiness with accurate records and documentation.
• Support payroll and time & attendance, coordinating with Finance and Total Rewards.
• Build and scale reporting and analytics with Workday dashboards for decision making.
• Lead cross-functional People Ops projects by partnering with Recruiting, IT, Finance, and Legal.
• Maintain data integrity in Workday and ensure audit-ready systems.
• Identify workflow gaps and design scalable process improvements.
• Improve the People Ops helpdesk and self-service resources.
• Support onboarding, core operations, reporting, and compliance workflows.
