Job summary

Employer.com is seeking a People Operations Specialist for a 6-month fixed term contract to support tooling, employee data, and compliance. You will work with People Partners, Payroll, Legal, IT, and Internal Tools across Workday, Greenhouse, and Checkr to keep records accurate and experiences smooth.

You will own onboarding for large cohorts, manage contingent worker onboarding, and handle status changes and documentation, while building guides and FAQs for the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR operations, or HRIS administration.
• Experience at other tech companies, ideally fast-growing organizations.
• Workday (HRIS) experience strongly recommended; Greenhouse or similar HR systems experience a plus.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with excellent professional judgment for time-sensitive processes.
• Careful handling of employee data, with a firm commitment to accuracy and privacy.
• Reliable and responsive when fielding urgent questions from employees and People team partners.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional partners.
• Able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively as priorities shift.
• Customer service oriented, treating internal teams as clients, with a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day onboarding execution for large new hire cohorts: coordinate start dates and communicate with incoming employees.
• Collaborate with team members to handle volume and support weekly onboarding adoption.
• Coordinate background checks, welcome communications, and start dates for contingent workers.
• Maintain employee records in Workday and process status changes with data accuracy.
• Triage and respond to internal employee questions and maintain the tickets queue.
• Create and maintain onboarding guides, process playbooks, and FAQs for team efficiency.
