Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Kennebunk, ME. You will help the General Manager ensure smooth day-to-day operations, lead teams, and uphold brand standards across our travel plazas offering diverse food options.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach shifts supervisors and ensure day-to-day operations.
• Be capable of performing duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain high morale, especially during busy periods.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Ensure cash handling is accurate and daily reports are produced per directives.
• Address customer needs, resolve issues and nurture long-term relationships.
• Monitor inventory with spot counts and checks.
