Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers in Maine is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations at our travel plazas. You will oversee staff, ensure service quality, and uphold brand standards while optimizing cash handling and inventories.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen
• Flexible and open work schedule
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives clearly.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach shifts supervisors, and monitor store operations.
• Must be able to perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during low morale periods.
• Exhibit strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues timely and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain awareness of brand standards and procedures to maximize relationships with brand/landlord/labor.
• Ensure restaurant looks clean, inviting, and adheres to brand standards.
• Oversee cash management and daily reports as directed by company.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Keep inventory data accurate with spot counts and checks.
