Job summary

Edra is looking for a People Operations lead to own payroll, benefits, onboarding and compliance for the US and UK from its New York and London offices.

You will automate and streamline processes, work with payroll providers and employment counsel, and design scalable systems for a growing AI startup.

This role combines hands-on execution with strategic piling of workflows, offering equity and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Experience owning payroll and benefits end-to-end in US/UK.
• Familiar with international people ops for startups.
• Ability to automate repetitive tasks and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for payroll, benefits, leave, equity administration, and employment logistics.
• Own US and UK payroll end to end: run it, reconcile it, manage joiners/leavers, fix issues quickly.
• Design and build onboarding program from first principles for new hires in either office.
• Automate onboarding and offboarding processes across both entities.
• Administer benefits in US and UK: healthcare, pensions, open enrollment and renewals.
• Own the operational compliance calendar across both countries and filings.
• Keep Rippling as the source of record for headcount, comp, and org data; extend it.
• Build automations and internal tooling for repetitive people workflows.
