Job summary

VK Capital Ventures Inc. runs Travel Villa Kitchen in Houston, a chef co-op, cooking-class and private-dinner company. We are building a People Operations function and seek an HR Generalist to run recruiting operations and onboarding, and to manage our SOP library as we scale.

You will help with the full-time conversion process, support discreet communication, and contribute to a healthy, bilingual team culture by handling sensitive information with care.

Qualifications

• HR generalist, people operations, or recruiting operations experience.
• Systems discipline — applicant tracking, onboarding checklists, and records that stay current without chasing.
• Discretion and warmth in equal measure; you will hold sensitive information and sensitive conversations.
• Homebase (or similar scheduling/HR platform) experience a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred — our team and applicant pool are bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Run recruiting operations: postings current, applicants tracked, interviews booked, nobody left unanswered
• Own Homebase onboarding: new hires set up with roles, rates, and logins before their first shift
• Operate the SOP library: every role's SOP current, every hire handed theirs on day one
• Support the full-time conversion process: survey responses, terms conversations, and HR follow-through scheduled and documented
• Be the team's healthy-communication backstop: issues surfaced early, handled with discretion, documented fairly

We are Human First service practitioners: healthy communication in working environments, keeping people happy and emotionally safe in service — People Operations is where that positioning becomes practice. We are hiring a People Operations / HR Generalist to run recruiting operations, Homebase onboarding, and our SOP library as this team grows from a founder-era crew to a full platform company.

Schedule

Full-time, standard business hours, with onboarding support on hire start dates.
