Job summary

VK Capital Ventures Inc. runs Travel Villa Kitchen in Houston, a chef co-op offering events, classes, and private dinners. You will own the field operations for large events, coordinating staff, ensuring on-plan execution, and maintaining safety and quality standards onsite.

The role is full-time with evenings and weekends as core times. A growth path from day one and a written SOP are provided, with diverse dinners, classes, demos, and markets as the working scope.

Qualifications

• Event operations, field operations, or hospitality management experience.
• Houston-based with reliable transport; able to lift gear and stand full shifts.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the run-of-show for events, demos, and market days; staffing confirmed and on plan.
• Coordinate on-site field staff and volunteers with clear assignments and communication.
• Manage staffing gates: published shifts filled or escalated.
• Maintain food-safety and presentation standards on-site for staff and students.
• File same-day field reports: attendance, issues, and fixes for next time.

We are Human First service practitioners: healthy communication and people who are happy and emotionally safe in service is how we work — the field is where that promise is kept or broken. We are hiring an Events & Field Operations Lead to own the field run‑of‑show at scale, working with our Community Coordinator: every event staffed, set, and run the way it was planned.

Responsibilities

• Own the run-of-show for events, demos, and market days: staffing confirmed, setup and breakdown on plan, timing held
• Coordinate field staff and volunteers on site — clear assignments, healthy communication, nobody guessing
• Work the staffing gates with the scheduling lane: published shifts filled or escalated, never silently short
• Keep food‑safety and presentation standards on site (gloves, hair restraints, clean stations) for staff and students
• File same‑day field reports: attendance, issues, and what to fix next time

Qualifications

• Event operations, field operations, or hospitality management experience
• Calm under the day‑of pressure: you solve problems in the room, in real time
• Houston‑based with reliable transport across event sites; able to lift event gear and stand a full event shift
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred — our events are bilingual rooms

Schedule

Full‑time on the event calendar — evenings and weekends are core event times.

• $55,000/yr base (planning base from the hiring-suite budget, set below the BLS Social & Community Service Managers median of $78,240)
