About The Role
The role owns core people operations: onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS management, and the systems that keep a growing employee base supported and compliant.
You will work closely with HR leadership, finance, and hiring teams to make people processes run smoothly — from day one through offboarding — and turn manual workflows into scalable, repeatable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and administer the HRIS (Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR, or similar), including data integrity, workflow configuration, and system changes
- Run end-to-end onboarding for new hires across remote and distributed locations, including equipment logistics, I-9/E-verify compliance, and orientation coordination
- Administer benefits programs: open enrollment, qualifying life events, broker coordination, and employee questions
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements, including multi-state tax registrations and required postings
- Build and improve people-ops processes and documentation, replacing manual work with automation where possible
- Support performance-review cycles, compensation planning, and headcount reporting alongside HR leadership
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions on policies, payroll, and benefits
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years in people operations, HR generalist, or HR coordination roles, ideally at a scaling technology company
- Hands-on experience administering an HRIS (Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR, Workday, or similar)
- Working knowledge of multi-state employment compliance, benefits administration, and payroll fundamentals
- Strong process orientation with excellent documentation and project-management skills
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with finance, legal, and hiring managers
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: experience with equity administration (Carta or similar), OKR or performance-tool rollouts, and building people‑ops playbooks from scratch
