Job summary

Evlo AI in Phoenix, AZ seeks an HR Generalist to own day-to-day people operations supporting a fast-growing tech team. You will lead onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and performance processes to scale with headcount.

You’ll manage HRIS data (Rippling, BambooHR, Workday, or Gusto), assist managers through complex conversations, ensure I-9 compliance, and maintain the employee handbook in line with federal and state laws.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of HR generalist experience in high-growth tech companies.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (Rippling, BambooHR, Workday, Gusto).
• Working knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and multi-state compliance.
• Experience conducting employee relations investigations with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end onboarding: pre-boarding logistics, orientation, and I-9/compliance docs.
• Administer benefits programs, including open enrollment and leave management.
• Serve as first responder for employee relations issues, conducting investigations and partnering with leadership on resolutions.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate headcount, attrition, and time-to-productivity reports.
• Support performance management cycles, including calibration logistics and manager coaching.
• Ensure employment law compliance across federal, state, and multi-state regulations; maintain the employee handbook.
• Drive engagement programs from surveys to recognition and offboarding with process improvements.
