Job description

About The Role

The role owns the day-to-day people operations that keep a fast-growing technology company running: onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and performance processes.

About The Role

The role owns the day-to-day people operations that keep a fast-growing technology company running: onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and performance processes.

You will be the first point of contact for employee questions and policy interpretation, and you will help scale HR programs as headcount grows — from refining onboarding workflows to supporting managers through sensitive conversations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end onboarding: coordinate pre-boarding logistics, run new-hire orientation, and ensure I-9 and compliance documentation is complete
  • Administer benefits programs, including open enrollment, leave of absence management (FMLA, state programs), and 401(k) support
  • Serve as first responder for employee relations issues, conducting investigations and partnering with leadership on resolutions
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity in tools like Rippling, BambooHR, or Workday; own reporting on headcount, attrition, and time-to-productivity
  • Support performance management cycles, including calibration logistics, review rollouts, and manager coaching
  • Ensure employment law compliance across federal, Arizona, and multi-state regulations; maintain the employee handbook
  • Run engagement programs, from surveys to recognition and offboarding, and turn feedback into concrete process improvements
What We Are Looking For
  • 3-6 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in high-growth technology companies
  • Hands-on expertise with an HRIS (Rippling, BambooHR, Workday, or Gusto) and standard HR workflows
  • Working knowledge of employment law including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and multi-state compliance
  • Experience conducting employee relations investigations with sound judgment and discretion
  • Strong written communication skills — comfortable drafting policies, scripts, and manager guidance
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience; PHR/SHRM-CP a plus
  • Bonus: Experience supporting remote-first teams, M&A or acquisition integration, and building HR programs from scratch
