About The Role
The role owns core People Operations systems and processes — onboarding, HRIS data integrity, benefits administration, and compliance — for a fast-growing technology company. You will be the operational backbone of the people team, building scalable processes in tools like Rippling, Gusto, or Workday, and ensuring every employee experience touchpoint runs smoothly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end onboarding and offboarding, including background checks, I-9/E-Verify compliance, equipment provisioning, and system provisioning
- Administer the HRIS (Rippling, Gusto, or Workday), maintaining data integrity, generating reports, and managing workflows
- Coordinate benefits enrollment, open enrollment cycles, and respond to employee questions on payroll, benefits, and policies
- Support performance management cycles, including review scheduling, calibration logistics, and tracking completion rates
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations across multi-state workforces
- Build and document scalable People Ops processes, playbooks, and self-serve resources for employees and managers
- Partner with finance on headcount tracking, new-hire requisitions, and workforce reporting
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of People Operations, HR Generalist, or People Team experience, ideally at a high-growth technology company
- Hands-on experience administering an HRIS (Rippling, Gusto, Workday, BambooHR, or similar)
- Working knowledge of multi-state employment compliance, benefits administration, and payroll fundamentals
- Strong data and reporting skills, including fluency in Google Sheets or Excel for headcount and people analytics
- Excellent written communication and a track record of building clear, employee-friendly documentation
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: Experience with HR workflow automation (Zapier, Tally, Typeform), equity administration (Carta), or PEO transitions
