RigUp is hiring a People Operations Coordinator in Austin, TX. You will act as a first point of contact for employees and field workers, guiding them through People processes and maintaining accurate personnel records.

The role includes onboarding, benefits enrollment, background checks, and coordinating recruiting activities. You will support a fast-paced HR environment, handle sensitive data with discretion, and collaborate with the People Team to improve processes and employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in HR, People Operations, recruiting coordination, or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for employee and field worker questions; resolve issues or connect to the right People Team partner.
• Communicate with employees by phone and email to understand questions, gather information, and determine next steps.
• Process employee changes and maintain records in Paylocity (job, title, compensation updates).
• Prepare employment documentation and maintain personnel files and other People Operations records.
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including background checks and benefits enrollment.
• Help employees navigate benefits, leave processes, and life events.
• Coordinate candidate communications, interview scheduling, offers, and other recruiting activities.
• Maintain People Team templates, guides, FAQs, and process documentation.
• Conduct audits and identify opportunities to improve processes and employee experience.
