Job summary

University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Human Resource Coordinator to provide comprehensive HR support across the employee lifecycle for staff, students, and non-employees in the EVPP division. You’ll serve as a primary HR contact, coordinate employment actions, timekeeping, onboarding and offboarding, as well as graduate student employment.

The role emphasizes collaboration, confidentiality, and process improvement within a team that shares knowledge and coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 2+ years HR or related admin/ops experience preferred.
• Ability to manage a high volume of work with accuracy and timeliness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Adaptability to changing systems, policies, and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HR actions across the employment lifecycle in Workday; assist with requisitions, recruitment, appointments, on/offboarding, and changes in status.
• Provide responsive HR support; triage inquiries and maintain confidentiality.
• Guide academic graduate student employment policies; liaise with Graduate Studies and other campus partners.
• Support HR programs, policies, documentation, and process improvements; maintain accurate records and reporting.
• Contribute to training, compliance, and cross-training; back up teammates during peak periods.
