General Matter, Inc. is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to own the day-to-day systems that keep our team running, including onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, HRIS data integrity, and related events that bring our people together.

This high-impact role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-obsessed, and comfortable building processes where none exist yet, with the opportunity to shape People Ops as our company scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1+ years administrative experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding and offboarding end-to-end, including logistics.
• Administer benefits programs and day-to-day questions.
• Maintain accurate HRIS records and data integrity across systems.
• Plan and execute company events and culture initiatives, from budgeting to execution.
• Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions with sound judgment on sensitive information.
• Identify gaps in People Ops processes and drive improvements.
• Support compliance-related recordkeeping as the team scales.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, Finance, and department leads to keep processes running smoothly.
