Job summary

AltaPointe Health is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our Talent Acquisition Team in Mobile, Alabama. This high-volume role supports pre-employment processes, orientation, and training coordination while maintaining accurate records.

You will handle new hire paperwork, fingerprinting coordination, and employee file creation, while ensuring compliance with state and federal reporting requirements. Strong MS Office skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and three years of related professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong interpersonal and computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
• Desire and ability to research and solve problems.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as on a team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Performs one-on-one and group pre-employment paperwork with new hires.
• Coordinates fingerprinting of new hires and acts as main contact for DHR representatives.
• Creates all new hires’ employee files and ensures completeness before being given to HR Assistant.
• Reviews background screenings and coordinates required documentation.
• Maintains current employee files and updates contact details during transfers.
• Provides Medicaid credentialing documents/transcripts to appropriate departments.
• Performs new hire reporting to state and federal agencies.
• Assists with new hire orientation processes and training scheduling.
• Inputs personal information into HRP for new hires.
• Prepares/creates identification badges for new hires and current staff.
• Supports learning management and education tracking systems.
