Job summary

CBRE | DIRECTLINE, a CBRE Data Center Solutions business, seeks a People Generalist to support HR initiatives, policies and procedures, including FMLA, ADA, and leave management. You will provide guidance on programs, ensure compliance, and handle confidential employee records within the People Strategy and Operations function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 2-5 years of HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, workers’ comp, disability programs, and leave management.
• Experience managing Sedgwick cases or working with a third‑party leave administrator.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Power BI is a plus.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality.
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for Sedgwick-related requests and cases.
• Coordinate leave requests, accommodations, and related communications.
• Advise employees and managers on leave policies and return-to-work.
• Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and state laws.
• Oversee onboarding, status changes, and terminations.
• Pull data and reports for peer reviews.
• Prepare reports for other business areas.
• Manage unemployment claim inquiries and background checks.
• Explain complex information clearly and work within standard procedures.
