Job summary

Equipment Depot Inc. in Texas seeks an HR Generalist to administer employee leave programs and accommodations, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws. The role also serves as back-up for onboarding and handles terminations in accordance with guidelines.

You will maintain SOPs, workflows, and FAQ materials, communicate leave status to managers, coordinate return-to-work, manage benefits while on leave, and support COBRA and union leaves per CBA and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years managing leaves and accommodations with knowledge of FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, ADA, and military leaves.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and administer leave programs per federal, state and local laws.
• Serve as primary HR liaison for employees, managers and vendors during leave lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, workflows, and FAQ materials.
• Maintain communication with employees and managers about leave status and return dates.
• Facilitate the return-to-work process and manage benefits while on leave.
• Back-up onboarding and manage terminations with proper documentation and COBRA.
