Carter’s is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in McAllen, TX to lead the sales floor with a customer-first approach. You’ll guide the team in delivering outstanding service, product knowledge, and a welcoming store environment.

You will support the Store Manager in recruiting, training, and developing staff, while driving KPIs and merchandising standards. This role requires lifting and standing for long periods and offers a strong path for career growth within Carter’s.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with product styles, features and benefits.
Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers.
Coaching others to success while maintaining service standards and omnichannel experience.
Analyze the business and drive KPIs with the team to improve results.
Build customer loyalty through company programs, including credit.
Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and developing the store team.
Recognize exceptional performance and address underperformance.
Plan, track, and report tasks and financial results using company tools.
Partner with Store Manager on merchandising standards, promotions, markdowns, and product placement.
Reduce loss through consistent customer service and operational controls.
