Job summary

Border Foods is seeking an Assistant Manager to reinforce our Core Values and lead restaurant operations with a people-first mindset. You will oversee daily operations, guide a strong team, and ensure safe, high-quality food with a friendly guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year restaurant or retail experience.
• Experience with sales building, P&L statements, recruiting, and training.
• Proven track record of successful hiring and retention.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Non-exempt management position; minimum 50 hours per week.
• ServeSafe Certified.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of the restaurant and build a strong team.
• Deliver fast, friendly service and quality food to customers.
• Monitor cash handling policies and POS system accuracy.
• Hire, train, and develop Team Members and Shift Leaders.
• Ensure health and safety standards compliance and legal guidelines.
• Schedule Team Members and manage labor to optimize performance.
