Potbelly Sandwich Works is seeking a General Manager in Eden Prairie, MN to lead the shop with a focus on teamwork, strong customer service, and operational excellence. The role emphasizes delivering a belonging-filled environment and driving restaurant success.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of at least 2 years as a General Manager in a restaurant or retail environment with P&L responsibility.
• Meets all Food Safety requirements and pass Food Safety Certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
• Open availability.
• Ability to write schedules and manage labor goals.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong business acumen and ability to interpret financial reports.
• Ability to stand/walk 8–9 hours and work 45 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and develop all shop team members.
• Assess staff abilities and create development plans.
• Interview, hire, and onboard new team members.
• Develop Good Vibes culture and promote retention.
• Schedule Associates, Certified Trainers and Shift Leaders.
• Manage cash handling and security procedures.
• Drive local shop marketing and recruiting efforts.
• Control costs and inventory; manage P&L.
• Spend 80-90% of time on the shop floor.
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed.
• Handle customer complaints effectively.
