Job summary

The New York Times Company is seeking a Senior Program Manager to shape and lead the People Data & Insights team in New York, NY. You will translate complex HR questions into scalable, automated solutions and own the end-to-end lifecycle from intake to delivery.

You will collaborate with HR leadership, engineers, and data partners to ensure adoption and trusted insights that inform decision making. This role reports to the Senior Director, People Data & Insights.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product management, program management, or an equivalent role delivering data or analytics products.
• 5+ years of experience translating ambiguous business questions into concrete requirements.
• You can read SQL queries, interrogate a data model, and know when an answer is wrong

Responsibilities

• Handle sensitive people data and own the roadmap for people data solutions from intake through launch, adoption
• Oversee request intake and prioritization ensuring stakeholders understand what is built, what is not, and why
• Translate business questions into solution requirements
• Partner daily with the Analytics Engineer and Solutions Architect on scoping, sequencing, and delivery
• Build the education layer into the solution itself
• Partner on data governance, contribute to the data dictionary, and define metrics
• Manage stakeholders across HR, Technology, Legal and the business, including senior leaders
• Demonstrate support of our journalistic independence and mission to seek the truth
