Job summary

The Economic Services Supervisor in Barre leads eligibility staff, planning, assigning and reviewing work to meet statewide and office needs, interpreting program rules and providing technical assistance as needed.

This role emphasizes staff development, data-driven reviews, and collaboration with district offices and partners to support families. Minimum qualifications include a combination of education and experience in benefits programs, with a commitment to equity and staff growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent AND five (5) years as a Benefits Program Specialist or Reach Up Case Manager or case management experience at the same level in a human services, employment and training or education field.
• Associates degree AND three (3) years as a Benefits Program Specialist or Reach Up Case Manager or case management experience at the same level in a human services, employment and training or education field.
• Bachelor's degree or higher AND one (1) year as a Benefits Program Specialist or Reach Up Case Manager or case management experience at the same level in a human services, employment and training or education field.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and review the work of eligibility staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and distribute workload to meet statewide and office needs.
• Interpret policies, procedures, program regulations, and directives and provide technical assistance.
• Develop and facilitate district trainings for new and experienced staff.
• Review statistical and quality reports and perform monthly case reviews.
• Address client concerns and resolve conflicts within the office; act on behalf of the district director during their absence.
