Job summary

The Department of Economic Security (DES) is seeking a Benefits and Eligibility Supervisor for the Cottonwood Field Office in person. The role supervises, plans, and coordinates one or more eligibility units involved in determining and issuing public assistance and social services benefits.

You will lead staff, ensure metrics and productivity, interpret policies, and collaborate with management to improve operations. DES offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience performing eligibility work.
• Knowledge of public assistance eligibility determination processes.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise, and evaluate staff; assign workloads and monitor productivity.
• Interpret and apply program policies and procedures; implement changes affecting eligibility.
• Lead quality control and reporting; review case reads and performance metrics.
• Assist with hiring and staffing needs; manage resources and priorities.
• Follow AMS guidelines and support fraud detection and correct action when needed.
