Job summary

The State of Vermont, Economic Services Division, seeks an experienced Economic Services Supervisor in the Barre district office. This role plans, assigns, and reviews eligibility staff work, interprets policies, and collaborates with statewide offices and partners to administer benefits.

The supervisor will train staff, review performance through data reports, and support district leadership while addressing client concerns and ensuring smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising eligibility staff and distributing workload to meet statewide and office needs.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, program regulations, and directives.
• Experience reviewing statistical and quality reports and providing feedback to staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign and review the work of eligibility staff.
• Interpret policies and directives and provide technical assistance.
• Review reports and conduct monthly case reviews to identify trends.
• Develop district trainings for staff and supervise performance.
• Represent the district in absence of the director and support problem resolution.
• Collaborate with district offices and external partners to administer benefits.
