Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Data Engineer for People Analytics to develop data warehouse models, pipelines, and analytics in cloud platforms. You will lead data engineering efforts, mentor a team, and collaborate with HR and business units to ensure data quality and secure access for reporting and decision support.

The role requires 3+ years in data engineering, SQL, Python, and cloud experience (GCP preferred). Bachelor’s in CS/related field; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Data Engineering.
• 3+ years' experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
• 3+ years' experience with SQL and relational databases.
• 2+ years' experience programming in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage robust data pipelines and ETL processes that integrate HR data from various systems, including Workday, talent management, payroll, and other data sources.
• Develop and optimize data workflows to ensure data accuracy, quality, and availability for the People Analytics team and stakeholders across HR and business units.
• Oversee a team of data engineers, providing mentorship, support, and guidance on best practices in data engineering, version control, and coding standards.
• Work closely with People Analytics to structure data for analysis, develop data models, and create reproducible workflows that enable efficient reporting in R, Python, and other analytics tools.
• Ensure data governance and security protocols are followed in accordance with company policies and industry regulations, with a focus on HR data confidentiality and compliance.
• Partner with HR leaders, IT, and People Analytics teams to understand business requirements, streamline data requests, and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
