Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Data Engineer for People Analytics to design and build data pipelines, data models, and analytics workflows in cloud platforms. You will partner with HR and IT to empower workforce insights and scalable reporting.

The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring data governance and security. Proficiency in SQL, Python, ETL/ELT, and tools like Snowflake, BigQuery, and Airflow is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Data Engineering.
• 3+ years' experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
• 3+ years' experience with SQL and relational databases.
• 2+ years' experience programming in Python for data manipulation.
• 3+ years' experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 2+ years' experience with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• 2+ years' experience with scheduling tools like Airflow or Composer.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage data pipelines and ETL processes for HR data.
• Develop data workflows ensuring accuracy and availability for People Analytics and stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of data engineers.
• Structure data for analysis and create reproducible workflows for reporting in R, Python.
• Ensure data governance and security in line with policies.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, and People Analytics to translate business needs into data solutions.
