Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Data Engineer for People Analytics to design and manage data pipelines, develop data warehouse models, and enable scalable analytics for HR and workforce insights.

You will lead ETL/ELT processes, collaborate with HR leaders, IT, and analytics teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure data governance, security, and quality across cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure) and data sources. This role requires 3+ years in data engineering, SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Data Engineering.
• 3+ years' experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
• 3+ years' experience with SQL and relational databases.
• 2+ years' experience programming in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.
• 3+ years' experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 2+ years' experience with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• 2+ years' experience with scheduling tools like Airflow or Composer.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Develop and optimize data workflows for accuracy and availability for HR analytics.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers.
• Collaborate with People Analytics to structure data for analysis and reporting.
• Ensure data governance and security in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Partner with HR and IT to understand requirements and enable data-driven decisions.
