Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Data Engineer for People Analytics to design and operate data pipelines and data warehouse models that power workforce analytics. You will work across HR data sources, ensure data quality, and enable reporting with Python, R, and BI tools.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years in data engineering, experience with cloud platforms, and proficiency in SQL and Python. A bachelor's degree is required, with a master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Data Engineering.
• 3+ years' experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
• 3+ years' experience with SQL and relational databases.
• 2+ years' experience programming in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.
• 3+ years' experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 2+ years' experience with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery).
• 2+ years' experience with scheduling tools like Airflow or Composer.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Management: Design, build, and manage robust data pipelines and ETL processes that integrate HR data from systems like Workday and payroll.
• Data Engineering & Transformation: Develop and optimize data workflows to ensure data quality and availability for HR analytics and stakeholders.
• Technical Leadership: Oversee a team of data engineers, mentoring and guiding best practices in data engineering and coding standards.
• Analytics & Reporting Support: Structure data for analysis and create reproducible workflows for reporting in R, Python, and BI tools.
• Data Security & Compliance: Ensure governance and security protocols align with company policies for HR data confidentiality.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner with HR leaders, IT, and People Analytics teams to understand and fulfill business data needs.
