Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Data Engineer for the People Analytics team to build data warehouse models and pipelines across HR systems in cloud data platforms. You will deliver scalable data workflows and collaborate with HR and business units to turn data into insights.

The role requires strong Python, SQL, and ETL skills, plus experience with cloud data warehouses and governance. You will mentor junior engineers and help ensure data security and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of ETL/ELT processes and tools.
• 3+ years of SQL and relational databases.
• 2+ years of Python for data manipulation, automation and analysis.
• 3+ years with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; Azure or AWS acceptable).
• 2+ years with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery).
• 2+ years with scheduling tools like Airflow or Composer.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage robust data pipelines and ETL processes for HR data.
• Develop and optimize data workflows ensuring data quality and availability.
• Oversee a team of data engineers and promote best practices.
• Collaborate with People Analytics to structure data for analysis and reporting.
• Ensure data governance and security in line with policies and regulations.
• Partner with HR, IT, and analytics teams to support strategic decisions.
