Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Data Engineer for the People Analytics team to design and optimize data pipelines, models, and analytics workflows in our cloud data platforms. You will collaborate with HR and IT partners to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

In this hands-on role, you will mentor junior engineers, ensure data governance and security, and support reporting in Python and R.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Data Engineering.
• 3+ years' experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
• 3+ years' experience with SQL and relational databases.
• 2+ years' experience programming in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.
• 3+ years' experience with cloud platforms, prefer GCP (may consider Azure or AWS).
• 2+ years' experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• 2+ years' experience with scheduling tools like Airflow or Composer.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage data pipelines and ETL processes integrating HR data from Workday and other sources.
• Develop and optimize data workflows for accuracy, quality, and availability for People Analytics.
• Oversee a team of data engineers, mentoring on best practices in data engineering and coding standards.
• Collaborate with People Analytics to structure data for analysis and create reproducible workflows for reporting.
• Ensure data governance and security per policies and regulations, focusing on HR data confidentiality.
• Partner with HR, IT, and analytics teams to translate requirements into data solutions.
