Job summary

California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) is seeking an IT Certification Bootcamp Instructor to lead CompTIA PenTest+ instruction in a flexible, variable-hour role. Classes run synchronously online via Microsoft Teams, with evenings and weekends as needed, across San Diego, CA and Albuquerque, NM campuses.

Ideal candidates hold current IT certs (A+, Network+, Security+, CISSP or cloud), plus at least one year of training experience.

Qualifications

• Appropriate IT certifications in CompTIA, ISC2 or cloud platforms.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a training setting, ideally IT certification bootcamps.
• Familiarity with CertMaster, TestOut or similar training tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement.
• Modify methods to meet diverse student needs and ensure certification readiness.
• Maintain current certifications and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Adhere to CIAT policies and promote inclusive learning environments.
