Job summary

California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) is seeking an IT Certification Bootcamp Instructor to deliver synchronous online courses in CompTIA CySA+ and related topics. You will work with our online campus and regional campuses in San Diego, CA and Albuquerque, NM to help students become job‑ready.

The role requires current certifications, at least one year of training experience, and the ability to teach evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Appropriate certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ or CISSP or AWS/Azure fundamentals or Microsoft certifications.
• Minimum of one year of training experience, ideally delivering IT certification bootcamps
• Advanced subject matter expertise preferred
• Synchronous online teaching preferred
• Prior experience in curriculum development and instructional design for IT certification bootcamps
• Familiarity with CertMaster, TestOut, or similar training tools; effective presentation skills
• Strong ability to work independently, multitask, and collaborate across departments

Responsibilities

• Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams
• Flexibility to teach in the evenings and weekends based on the course schedule
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement
• Align instructional strategies with CIAT’s adult learner framework and certification readiness
• Modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs
• Deliver instruction in a synchronous online format and ensure current certifications are maintained
