Corebridge Financial is seeking an actuarial professional with defined benefit pension plan expertise to underwrite, model, and govern pension provisions for US-based business. You will support onboarding, collaborate across functions, and influence contract terms with actuarial rigor.

The role involves drafting provisions, leading governance efforts, and guiding cross-functional teams while delivering accurate financial reporting. Remote-friendly locations may apply.

Qualifications

• Defined benefit pension experience required.
• Ability to interpret complex pension plan provisions and draft documents.
• At least one of Pricing, Valuation, Actuarial Modeling, Pension Administration or Contract experience.
• Pension benefit calculation modeling, testing, or production experience.
• Project management experience; self-starter with ambiguity tolerance.
• Governance and controls awareness and implementation.
• MS Office proficiency; Copilot and VBA knowledge a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a dynamic team.
• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, or Statistics; relevant certifications pursued.

Responsibilities

• Explain actuarial topics to leadership in New Jersey.
• Be the defined benefit pension expert within the company.
• Assess pension risks, calculate premiums, and draft terms.
• Guide onboarding and cross-functional collaboration.
• Design governance, controls, processes, and procedures.
• Review actuarial calculations and methodologies.
• Support Operations and Valuation teams during onboarding of new business.
• Lead projects with sound judgment.
