Job summary

Corebridge Financial, Inc. seeks a professional with actuarial or defined benefit pension plan expertise to underwrite and assess pension risks. Responsibilities include onboarding new business, drafting provisions, and supporting call center operations with pension calculations and testing.

The role covers governance, contract terms, and collaboration across internal functions, with emphasis on actuarial modeling and reporting accuracy. Remote locations may be considered.

Qualifications

• Defined benefit pension plan experience.
• Ability to interpret and implement complex pension plan provisions and drafting of documents.
• At least one of Pricing, Valuation, Actuarial Modeling, Pension Administration or Contract experience.
• Pension benefit calculation modeling, testing, or production experience.
• Project management experience; self-starter comfortable with complexity and ambiguity.
• Awareness of governance best practice and controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Copilot and VBA a plus.
• Ability to work in a dynamic team with strong communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Pursue or obtain SOA, Enrolled Actuaries, or ASPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain technical actuarial and/or pension topics to Head of US PRT in New Jersey.
• Be viewed as the defined benefit pension plan expert within the company.
• Assess pension risks, calculate premiums, and customize contract terms.
• Guide onboarding and lead cross-functional collaboration.
• Design or implement governance, controls, processes, and procedures.
• Review actuarial calculations and methodology in a controlled environment.
• Execute actuarial model risk management framework including development and testing.
• Support Operations and Valuation teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Think creatively and exercise sound judgment in leading projects.
