Job summary

Corebridge Financial, Inc. seeks a pension underwriting professional with actuarial or defined benefit expertise to underwrite risks, perform calculations, and draft commitment agreements. You will also support onboarding new business across internal functions as a project lead.

The role requires strong governance awareness, ability to explain complex pension provisions, and collaboration with Operations and Valuation teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Defined benefit pension experience required.
• Ability to interpret and implement complex pension provisions, including drafting documents.
• At least one of: Pricing, Valuation, Actuarial Modeling, Pension Administration or Contract experience.
• Pension benefit calculation modeling, testing, or production experience.
• Project management experience.
• Self-starter with ability to handle complexity and ambiguity.
• Governance best practices and controls awareness.
• MS Office; VBA a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Explain technical actuarial/pension topics to leadership.
• Be the defined benefit pension plan expert.
• Assess pension risks, calculate premiums, and determine terms affecting premiums/operations.
• Guide onboarding and cross-functional collaboration.
• Design/govern governance, controls, processes, and procedures.
• Review actuarial calculations and methodologies.
• Manage model risk framework including model development/testing.
• Support Operations and Valuation teams for accurate financial reporting.
• Lead projects with clear judgment.
