Job summary

Corebridge Financial seeks an actuarial professional with defined benefit pension expertise to underwrite and manage pension risks in a growth-focused team. You will perform actuarial calculations, draft commitments, and support onboarding across functions, ensuring accurate reporting and compliant contracts.

The role can involve internal project management, pension provisioning review, and governance implementation while collaborating with a dynamic, cross-functional team across multiple US

Qualifications

• Defined-benefit pension plan experience.
• Ability to interpret and implement complex pension plan provisions and draft documents.
• At least one of Pricing, Valuation, Actuarial Modeling, Pension Administration or Contract experience.
• Pension benefit calculation modeling, testing, or production experience.
• Project management experience and ability to lead initiatives in ambiguity.
• Awareness of governance best practices and controls.

Responsibilities

• Explain technical actuarial/pension topics to senior leadership.
• Be viewed as the defined benefit pension plan expert within the company.
• Assess pension risks, calculate premiums, and draft contract terms affecting premiums/operations.
• Guide onboarding and lead cross-functional collaboration.
• Design/govern governance, controls, processes, and procedures.
• Review actuarial calculations and methodologies in controlled environment.
• Execute model risk management including development/testing.
• Support Operations and Valuation teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Think creatively and lead projects with sound judgment.
