Job summary

Corebridge Financial, Inc. is seeking an experienced actuary specialized in defined benefit pension plans to underwrite and model pension risks, oversee governance, and draft contract provisions.

The role includes cross-functional onboarding, project leadership, and interactions with call center teams. You will assess risks, calculate premiums, and guide processes from actuarial modeling to regulatory filings, contributing to accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Defined benefit pension plan experience is required.
• Ability to interpret and implement complex pension plan provisions.
• At least one of pricing, valuation, actuarial modeling, pension administration or contract experience.
• Pension benefit calculation modeling, testing, or production experience.
• Project management experience; able to lead cross-functional onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Explain technical actuarial/pension topics to senior leadership.
• Be viewed as the defined benefit pension plan expert within the company.
• Assess pension risks, calculate premiums, and tailor contract terms.
• Guide onboarding and lead cross-functional collaboration.
• Design governance, controls, processes, and procedures.
• Review actuarial calculations and methodologies in controlled environments.
• Execute model risk management with development and testing.
• Support Operations and Valuation teams for accurate financial reporting.
• Lead strategic projects with sound judgment.
