Job summary

TIC Midwest, LLC is seeking a Pension Plan Manager to lead the administration, design, and regulatory compliance of client pension programs. The role requires coordinating with legal teams, auditors, and benefit consultants to ensure plans meet Taft-Hartley and IRS guidelines.

Responsibilities include stakeholder communication, audits, and insightful pension data analysis. Travel for client meetings and ongoing regulatory updates are expected to maintain plan integrity and participant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, Finance or related field, or equivalent benefits experience.
• Proven experience managing pension plans or retirement benefits.
• Familiarity with Taft-Hartley, ERISA, HR law and regulatory reporting.
• Strong data analysis skills to interpret pension data and derive insights.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reporting.
• Excellent communication to explain pension concepts clearly.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Negotiation skills for vendor management related to HR systems or pension consultants.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end administration of pension plans, including design and compliance.
• Follow Taft-Hartley, ERISA and IRS guidelines.
• Collaborate with legal teams to review contracts and plan documents.
• Coordinate with legal counsel to ensure plan administration meets standards.
• Attend client meetings online and in person.
• Assist with audits and regulatory reports to agencies like DOL or IRS.
• Provide guidance on benefits administration related to pensions and other benefits.
• Support participant orientation and training on pension features.
• Handle confidential information with discretion and communicate complex pension details clearly.
• Stay updated on pension regulations affecting plans (HIPAA/Medicare).
