Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services seeks a Retirement Plan Analyst to manage defined contribution plan documents, year-end testing, IRS filings, and day-to-day client service for a portfolio of mid-size sponsors.

The role partners with vendors, maintains detailed records, supports plan implementations, and contributes to process improvements with a focus on ERISA compliance and accurate data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of related work experience.
• Understanding of retirement plan types and ERISA guidelines.
• Experience with small to mid-size (250+) clients.
• Professional designation (ASPPA, NIPA, etc.) or progress toward designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares defined contribution plan documents.
• Prepares and conducts plan year-end non-discrimination testing (ADP, ACP, Top-heavy, 410(b), 415, 414(s), etc.).
• Prepares IRS Filings (5500, 5558, 5330, etc.) and assists auditors.
• Processes distributions (withdrawals, in-service, RMDs, loans, hardships).
• Maintains ongoing client contact and vendor management.
• Works with vendors to automate data collection and analysis.
• Maintains client and due diligence files.
• Records notes at meetings and prepares minutes for committees.
• Assists in completing plan applications, plan document review, and implementation.
• Supports the 401(k) Department with general industry knowledge.
• Researches and supports new initiatives to increase efficiency, productivity, compliance, and profitability.
• Complies with data standards and data integrity in the agency system.
