Job summary

Guardian Life Insurance Company of America is seeking a seasoned Retirement Plan Manager to govern and oversee fiduciary and compliance activities across the company’s defined contribution, defined benefit, and executive retirement plans.

The role partners with internal teams and external service providers to ensure risk management, operational excellence, and strong participant experience, while leading design reviews and implementing new programs in a complex regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 8+ years in retirement plan administration, governance, fiduciary support or program management.
• Deep expertise in qualified and non-qualified retirement plans including DB/DC and executive programs.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA fiduciary requirements and retirement governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance, compliance oversight, and risk management across retirement plans.
• Oversee vendor relationships, performance evaluations, and service delivery improvements.
• Support development and communication of retirement programs, and drive end-to-end process improvements.
• Coordinate regulatory filings, nondiscrimination testing, and plan documentation alignment.
