Job summary

Spring Independent School District seeks a PEIMS Analyst to manage district PEIMS data and TEA reporting. The role involves data collection, auditing, and training staff across campuses to ensure accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate has at least an associate degree and several years of data collection experience, with knowledge of PEIMS/TSDS and confidentiality requirements. This is an exempt, full-time position based in Houston.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher or equivalent work experience
• Three years’ experience in data collection and/or school business
• Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred
• Five years’ experience data collection and/or school business is preferred
• Knowledge of Texas Public School Guidelines, PEIMS and TSDS
• Ability to interpret and apply laws/regulations for data collection and reporting
• Confidentiality of privileged information
• Attention to detail, speed, accuracy and teamwork
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to understand complex systems and explain to stakeholders
• Problem solving with limited standardization
• Proficiency with accounting, database, internet, email and word processing software
• MS Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Excel familiarity

Responsibilities

• Manage central collection of PEIMS data and TEA deadlines
• Analyze campus data in eSchool for accuracy
• Analyze PEIMS data extracts
• Conduct audits to ensure attendance funding
• Create training materials and staff development for PEIMS reporting
• Assist departments with recordkeeping guidelines
• Provide ongoing training to campuses and HR/business staff
• Receive training in information security and confidentiality
• Manage TEAL and TREx account applications
• Prepare data for OCR reporting
• Investigate missing Unique IDs for students and staff
• Compile and file reports and auditable records
• Ensure compliance with federal/state policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
