Job summary

ColumbiaCare Services is seeking a Supportive Housing Peer Support Specialist (PSS) for Swing Lane SH Apartments in Medford, OR. You will work peer-to-peer, sharing lived mental health experience to support residents in setting self-determined goals and fostering a welcoming environment.

You will engage residents individually and in groups, provide personal care assistance, and use appropriate self-disclosure to build trust while promoting wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Must have personal experience with mental health challenges.
• Certified and registered as a Peer Support Specialist (PSS) or Peer Wellness Specialist (PWS) through the Oregon Health Authority (OHA).

Responsibilities

• Meet with new residents one-on-one to provide welcome and guidance.
• Coordinate and lead peer groups for residents.
• Provide personal care services (shopping, self-help, socialization, meal prep) as needed.
• Use strategic self-disclosure to build connections and normalize mental health challenges.
